Mumbai: By the intervention of the Regional Labour Commissioner (RLC), the proposed strike by the employees of the bank has been deferred.
All the employees of Central Bank were supposed to observe a day-long strike all across the country on May 3 in protest against various decisions taken by the bank management which, they feel, are in violation of the guidelines issued by the government.
Talking to Bizz Buzz, Sanjay Kumar Khan, general secretary, AICBOA, said: "We have deferred our nationwide strike, which was supposed to be held on May 3 on the intervention of RLC (Hyderabad) as the bank management is ready to talk to us to sort out the disputing matter."
Earlier, in a circular jointly issued by All India Central Bank Employees' Federation (AICBEF) and All India Central Bank Officers' Association (AICBOA) dated April 20, all the employees of the bank had been asked to observe strike on May 3. "We oppose the inter zone transfer of officers – demand reconsideration," the circular had said.
